Die neueste Version axios@1.14.1 wurde mit einem zuvor noch nie existierenden bösartigen Paket plain-crypto-js@4.2.1 infiziert. Socket AI hat die Analyse bestätigt, dass dieses Paket Malware ist. Die wöchentlichen Downloads von axios liegen bei über 100 Millionen Mal, und alle Projekte, die die neueste Version abrufen, sind einem potenziellen Eindringungsrisiko ausgesetzt. Socket AI-Gründer Feross empfiehlt allen axios-Nutzern, die Version umgehend zu sperren und die Lock-Datei zu überprüfen, und nicht auf die neueste Version zu aktualisieren.
